Wipe out Red Dots (2023) is an interactive piece that forces us to face the exploitation of our attention from UI notifications. Utilizing the ubiquitous red notification dot, the work overwhelms our ability to prioritize urgency and asks us to question why our attention is so valuable in the first place.

Yuwen Huang is a media artist whose current focus lies at the intersection of blockchain technology and art, creating a critical dialogue to foster inclusivity and accessibility within the digital age art community. She holds an MFA in Art & Technology Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2019, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Intermedia Art from the China Academy of Art (CAA). Her work was longlisted for the Lumen Prize (UK) in the Crypto category in 2023. Most recently, her blockchain artwork was featured in the 2024 Ars Electronica Festival (AUT), The Wrong Biennale 2023/24, and was presented in the New Media Caucus Showcase (NMC).
