POV: Scratching compact discs of sentimental value (2025), investigates human relationships with the outmoded medium of CDs via their digital and tangible properties. Gallego scratches discs that hold personal, sentimental value, developing a contrast between the CDs as a source of art versus, as the artist notes, “nostalgia” and “commodity”.
