Simulacra Goose (2025) is an experimental video that explores the porous boundaries between human, nonhuman, and artificial intelligence. Using the proxy of a goose, Dragoo pushes the boundaries, and often cracks, the AI’s ability to simulate their movements. The piece allows the viewer to experience a dance of not quite right-ness, while reinforcing the power of embodiment in an increasingly artificial world.

Schuyler Dragoo is an interdisciplinary artist working with experimental new media to explore the blurred lines between human and nonhuman worlds. She holds a Post-Bacc from Tufts and is pursuing an MFA at Tufts SMFA and an MA in psychology at CCSU. Her work investigates consciousness, neurodivergence, and AI’s evolving role in perception. Drawing from speculative sci-fi, she creates recursive loops between movement, imitation, and distortion.
